Jiruma collects what it needs to work and nothing else. It shows no advertising, sells nothing to anyone, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
What is stored
- Your email address, so you can sign in. Sign-in uses a one-time code or Apple or Google; Jiruma never stores a password.
- Your display name, and a profile picture if you add one. Both are optional to change and the picture is optional entirely.
- The challenges you start: which one, when you started, the reason you wrote down, your reminder time and cue, and your own "minimum version".
- Your check-ins: the date, whether it was a rest day or a minimum day, and any note you add.
- Reviews you write: the rating, difficulty, whether it was worth it, and your words.
- Settings: your language and your quiet hours.
What other people can see
Only your reviews, and only if you write one. A review shows your display name, your profile picture, and whether you finished or stopped. Your check-ins, your notes and the reason you started are yours alone — nobody else can read them.
Who else handles it
- Supabase stores the database, sign-in and any profile picture, on servers in the United States (AWS, us-west-2).
- An email provider delivers your sign-in codes. It sees your email address and nothing else.
No analytics or crash-reporting service is switched on. If that changes, this page will say so before it does.
Reminders
Daily reminders are scheduled by your phone, not sent from a server. No reminder leaves your device, and nothing is transmitted when one appears.
Deleting everything
Settings → Delete account removes your profile, check-ins, notes and reviews permanently. It cannot be undone and there is no waiting period. You do not need to ask anyone.
Children
Jiruma is not intended for children under 13, and accounts should not be created for them.
